<p>I saw on the Cal Poly website that everyone is automatically considered for the non need based scholarships and that they come out in spring/summer. Has anyone here received any of these scholarships as an incoming freshman and when did you receive them? What percent of people get these scholarships? What are the criteria?</p>

<p>GPA 10-11: 3.77 (3.69 including first semester senior year and probably will drop some more by the end of this semester due to a bad case of senioritis)</p>

<p>In addition, I have an autism spectrum disorder and I will be meeting with the DRC during the open house visit. Could this in any way positively impact my scholarship opportunities?</p>
<p>Ive seen on the Class of 2016 Fb page that several people have recieved small (or large) usually about $1000 from the major they are entering. That being said, I have not seen any for engineering specific.</p>
<p>My son who will be a freshman in the fall was awarded a merit based scholarship in the amount of $1500. His stats were slightly lower than yours (SAT=1410, CR=630, M=780) with GPA = 3.68. His major is Bioresource and Agricultural Engineering. He was notified last week by email.</p>
<p>I received a 2000$ scholarship a few days or a week after I got accepted (RD). It’s titled “CPS Cal Poly Outreach Scholarship” and apparently you have to be an out-of-state student paying for an out-of-state tuition to receive it. I happen to be wayyy out of state as I’m from Taiwan but hold an US passport. Either way I don’t think that really matters, but other than that I didn’t receive any other scholarships.</p>
