Student Hub is a third party that creates FB pages for colleges all over the country. It is very suspicious and not clear who owns them or what they are doing with the personal information that students are posting.
The other FB page looks like it is run by SLO students.

Cal poly releases in waves. Sometimes it is done by majors, stats, oos/is. Even if your major has been mentioned you can still get notified in a different wave.

@TropicKoolKid - Cal Poly has traditionally rolled out its acceptances by college and major over a couple of weeks, followed by waitlists. It’s not accurate to say that anyone who hasn’t received an acceptance through their portal today – on the first day they’re coming out – should toss up their hands in defeat. Good luck to you and good luck to all of the other students who are awaiting their decisions. It’s a hard wait, but the decisions are only at the very beginning of the process.
@mwindsor It’s called “Cal Poly SLO Class of 2024 (Official)”. Run by students, not a marketing company. Make sure you join the right one. Also, be sure to remind your parents to join the Cal Poly SLO Mustang Parents Facebook page – almost 19,000 members and a huge resource for them in helping you get all of the info you’ll need to know.
