also, if you have a HS gpa of 3.775, and 10 honors AP, what is the weighted CP GPA?
@cam1998, read the pinned thread about MCA at the top of the list. As for CP GPA, use the CSU calculator but include grades 9, 10 and 11.
ok, I am confused , so many posts. When doing the csu gpa, it only says 10-11th grades , am I missing something?
@eyemgh Yes that is including the local bonus. So without it it’s 4,091. Is that okay for RPTA? It is also not including statistics, I took it thinking Poly would take it but they dont right?
@sportsgirl820, it’s hard to say because I have limited experience with that major. They projected an acceptance rate of roughly 70% so I’d be surprised if you didn’t get in at least RD when they use your service area adder. Good luck!
@Dadfan Thank you for the info! I was wondering primarily out of curiosity as I have a handful of friends who applied both ED and RD at CP, including a few who applied under business like me. My MCA is roughly 4625.
When you get to college Eyemgh and Gumbymom won’t be your handmaidens to help you with easy stuff like MCA and weighed gpa’s. Answer to MCA, all over this bulletin board, wgpa, on the csumentor website. Breakout Excel and do some arithmetic. Unless your mom will keep answering your calls night day, will you be able to get through college??? Brother!
Has anybody heard back yet? I have been checking multiple times daily and am losing patience! Will they actually email you right away when your decision in posted?
@futeng I’ve heard rumors at my school that the decisions could potentially come out tomorrow. However, I have no idea if there’s any truth to that claim. Hopefully it’s true because I’m losing patience as well… Based on people I know who were accepted last year, I believe the decisions will appear on portal before an email is sent.
Usually they will post on the student portal before sending an email. Website states around Dec 15th so another week or so…
Does anyone know the average acceptance rate for nutrition majors?
@sfgiants061306: Projected acceptance rate for Nutrition is around 26%
@Gumbymom Where do we see projected acceptance rates?
SLO projections:
http://ir.calpoly.edu/content/publications_reports/targets/index
@cam1998 Slo is the only csu that uses 9th grade Gpa also
@Gumbymom I’m having a hard time interpreting the projections link you just posted. Could you tell me the projection for Business Administration, or could you explain how to interpret the worksheet? Thank you
For Business Administration:
Take the FTF target value (605) for 2015 and multiply by 3 then divide by the FTF apps (5833) x100= 31.1%
Remember these are targets and may not be the actual acceptance rates for this year.
Do you guys think the acceptance rates will be a little bit higher because of the proposal aiming to increase enrollment in UC’s and CSU’s?
if i get into cal poly on the 15th and another school on early action and I dont accept the admission for cal poly by the deadline will it affect my ability to go to the other school? will it frowned upon amongst other schools if i dont accept
I don’t think so–read this!
