I’m a city planning major hoping to transfer to SLO in 2012. My current gpa is a 3.21, and it could increase to somewhere in the 3.3’s by the end of fall, if I get straight A’s. The only class I’m missing from the golden four is precalculus(which I’ll be taking in the spring). Are my transfer prospects any good? SLO is my top choice and I know the environmental design department is extremely selective, but I’ve heard that the city planning major is relatively unknown of by students and is somewhat more lenient on admissions. I know getting denied from a school wont be the end of my world, but this school means so much to me and I would like to know if I stand any chance in getting accepted.

I’m an anthro major and just got accepted for Fall2011, my gpa was a 3.3. If your major isn’t extremely competative (mine isn’t either) then your chances are much higher. What transfer pattern are you following?

Not sure what you mean by transfer pattern. I’ve completed the IGETC, and taken 3 out of the 4 golden requirements. I’ll be going for my 3rd year in community college starting this fall. I don’t know if that’s any help, but its as much as I can give you towards what I’ve been doing to transfer.
