Cal Poly SLO city planning

I applied a couple days ago to Cal Poly SLO for city planning. I have a 3.2 GPA and I live nearby. I am going to take all the needed classes and the bonus class. The average GPA to get in is a 3.3 GPA. All though I heard that’s an average and people with GPAs slightly below get in. Have any other transfer students applied to this major and what was your GPA? Has anyone heard of people with a 3.2 getting in? Do I really get that many points for living nearby? Will the hardship petition help if I don’t get in?

Hey man, I am also aspiring to transfer to SLO as a city planning major. Did you get accepted? If so man any advice would help me tons, it seems like no one has a clue about transferring under this major to SLO, at least regarding in state students in my situation. My stats are pretty much the same as yours at the moment, but I should have a 3.3 by the time I apply in the fall and hopefully a 3.4 after the fall term ends. Cal poly is my # 1 choice, and I feel like I’m shooting at a moving target blindfolded.
