Cal Poly SLO vs Cal Poly Pomona vs UC Davis for city and regional planning?

Alright so I'm a second year community college student looking to transfer into one of these schools in 2012. My current GPA is a 3.6 but this semester I've been having a lot of personal issues which have distracted me from school, so unfortunately my GPA will drop a few points. I still have this upcoming winter, spring, and summer to bring it up though for the CSU and UC application openings in the fall of 2011. I'll be applying to CPSLO(#1 choice) as a city and regional planning major, CPP(#3 choice) as urban and regional planning, and UC Davis(#2 choice) as environmental policy analysis and planning with a concentration in city and regional planning. I want to lean more onto the technical side of the major that involves environmental design and such, and recently I've grown an interest in forest restoration. My main concern is getting employed after graduation, so I want to go to the school that will look best on a resume. I know a bachelors doesn't get much now a days, so I am aiming for grad school as well but I will try to get employed after I'm done with my undergrad studies. Of course I'm not only going to rely on only having a degree from the school to back me up in an interview, but I plan to work hard to become a prominent student and attain as much as experience as possible to make me a profitable employee at whatever school I go to. Which one is the best school to go to with my major? What other schools have the city and regional planning major in California? Are they better than my choices? What GPA should I maintain to get into my top 3 schools? Lastly what kind of extracurricular activities should I get involved with that connect to the major to put on my apps? I'm also open to hear any other useful information pertaining to my questions. Thanks.
