Cal Poly SLO Waitlisted

<p>So I found out that I am on the waitlist for Journalism at Cal Poly SLO and I heard that if you write a letter restating your interest it will be sent straight to the admissions office and they will put you higher on the list. I also heard that they should send back an email saying this but I sent both an email and an actual letter through the mail about two weeks ago and I haven't heard back. The letter basically says that Cal Poly is my first choice, my recent grades of a 4.5 gpa the last semester, and an internship at a radio station. What do you think my chances are of getting in? Thank you!</p>
