is it "bad" to be spring admitted in to CAL? i think it's sort of a nice way of putting a rejection in your face.... it seems like it to me.. is it possible to change a person's status from being spring admitted into fall admitted? in addition, is it more likely for a person's status to be changed into the fall if that person gets the Cal Alumni Scholarship?

is it worst being spring admitted or being wait listed?

wrong forum :p

I also got spring-admitted to Cal, and I looked into itand you can't appeal to be admitted to the fall semester, you're stuck with spring. It doesn't matter what the Alumni say, it just can't be done.

But I'd say it's better than being waitlisted. Waitlisting IS like a rejection, just a delayed one. Most people who are waitlisted end up getting rejected. But with spring-admits, we are already ACCEPTED to Cal, so it's a good thing. There's a program you can take in the fall that sounds pretty cool, if you get in.

I liked getting the spring admittance only because I can now say that I turned down Berkeley for UCLA. ;)

what is spring admittance? does that mean that you guys do nothing until the spring?

UCs don't waitlist, or at least not Cal, UCLA, and UCSD, unless you're talking about appeals.

spring admittance means you can take no classes, take UC-transferrable classes at a community college, or take extension classes for the fall semester.
