Cal State Fullerton or Cal Poly Pomona?

Hey everybody,
So I’m deciding between CSUF and CPP.
Initially I wanted to go to CPP because it seems more credible for my major (Psychology) and I appreciate the hands-on approach, but CSUF has both psych and nursing (which my parents want as a backup and I’m okay with) and also offers study abroad, which is something I’ve dreamed about since forever.
Both are close to home, but I’d like to live either on campus or find an apartment - so which has a broader selection? Which school has a cheaper selection?

Thanks for all your help

Do you plan to take the Nursing pre-req’s at CSUF while also taking Pysch courses? Just realize that if you are not a direct admit into the Nursing program, getting into the program after Sophomore year is ultra competitive. If you plan to pursue Nursing as your top choice major, then definitely consider CSUF, but Nursing school is a tough admit anywhere in California and definitely not considered a Backup major/Degree.

CPP also has study abroad as most colleges these day so that should not be a determining factor. http://www.cpp.edu/~international/study-abroad/index.shtml

Did you get any financial aid for either school? Housing costs on-campus are probably comparable around $13K+/yea depending upon meal plan and triple vs double. In regards to apartments, sharing with several roommates could bring costs down for either school. Do some research on local apartments near each campus and see for yourself.
