Is the calculus placement test timed? Or is it we take it in one sitting without exiting the browser, so it's "technically" timed?

Back when I took it it was self-timed. If you wind up placing out of classes you shouldn’t because you cheated and took too much time, you’re really only cheating yourself since you’ll probably tank in the more advanced classes.

Oh okay thanks. I know, I already got AP credit, I was just wondering how much of a time frame I should give myself to know when my “one setting” could best occur. Thanks!

I remember the test taking me significantly less time than what they said it would (had completed Calc BC), and I placed into Calc 3. It was something like 35 problems of varying difficulty from trig/algebra/geometry through some light differential equations.

has anyone here taken the placement test yet and if so, what is the difficulty in comparison to the Calc BC AP exam?

The test is 48 questions. It took about 2 hours for me, and it wasn’t to difficult.
Difficulty is about the same as the AP test, maybe a little bit harder.

So if we have only taken Calc AB do we skip the last two sections of the test?

I completed 3 of the 6 questions in the differential equations section and skipped the last section.

Any idea when our placements will be posted?

Sorry, forgot to mention I took Calc AB for Kate10662
