I live in Canada and my average in high school right now is an 86. How do I convert it to a GPA? Also if you could give a guideline to how to convert it then that would be great.

You don’t.
If you are asking for college applications, unless the college specifically tells you to convert to a GPA, list what is shown on your transcript. On those rare occasions when a college tells you to convert, they will tell you how to do it.
If you are asking for your own edification, use one of those on-line calculator that you don’t want the links for.
