Is there a list online of the classes which are disregarded when finding out your GPA? I've been looking everywhere.

basically, the only classes that count are "academic" classes, which means:
sciences
maths
english and other languages
intense art classes (AP art portfolio/ 2D/ 3D would count, I think)
social studies (global, us history, whatever.)
AP classes are regarded. so I guess that includes AP psychology.

photo I, physical education, foundations in art I, home economics, cooking... etc.. don't count.

Music?

Computer classes?

Music does not count. Computer classes would probably depend on the class (they will count AP computer science...).

Why doesn't music count? =(

I try harder in that than anything else.

Well... they'll probably count AP Music Theory.

If you are good at paying an instrument, send an audition tape. It will help you more then "A" in band...

You mean a tape of me playing just in addition?

Yes (there is a special form you need to complete, and it has all the instructions).

for Stanford GPA, do they only see 10-12 or 10-11

Because if one applies to Stanford SCEA, then he/she would only send 10-11 scores, or am I wrong?

10-11 for SCEA, 10-12 for RD

oh i see.. and do they recalculate the GPA only counting academics (meaning no PE, orchestra, ceramics, etc grades)?

yes..........
