Calculator for SAT 2 maths 2c

Which would be the best to get? any input would be appreciated

Any graphing calculator you're familiar with. Most people use the TI-83+ or TI-89.

I used TI83+. Download some helpful programs.

Can you give examples which programs??

I think TI's website has some. The Barrons review book had some program that you can program manually. I found those helpful. You NEED the quadratic formula one. The angles/tangents one was helpful too.

zant: You can eyeball most of the quadratic ones -- it's multiple choice, so a ballpark figure will usually be close enough to one of the choices.

which one is the easiest to handle. I've never used a graphing one before

I used the 83+. It wasn't too hard to use.

ok thanks....

honestly.. you don't need a fancy calculator. just take anything you're comfortable with! since i don't even own a graphic calc.. i just took my casio fx-82ms which does the mere basics... and scored well.

The 83 series is very user friendly. You should have no need for an 89, unless you plan to take multi. The 89 costs 50 dollars more, and its OS was poorly designed so it takes longer to input some problems, which is important on a timed test. The 83 does give you an advantage, though. jenni87 is right, it is possible to score 800 with nothing better then a scientific calculator, e.g. Ti-30. But the trig. functions on a sci calc. are a must.
