Calculus 1 a good prep for the Math level 2?

So im in a calculus 1 class. I know that alot of the Math 2 is pre-calc, but would Calculus 1 properly prep me?

I would say no. The only Calculus problems on the Math 2 test are evaluating limits and continuity (these would be simple limits/continuity problems), which is often done in a Pre-Calculus class anyway. A majority of the test is concepts covered in Algebra 2, and some Pre-Cal, Trig and Geometry. I would advise that you take practice tests and see how well you remember all these concepts.

I have first hand experience - I took BC Calc AP whilst taking the SAT II Math.

Calculus saves alot of time especially with L’Hopitals rules and lets you derive formulas in case you forget them. There was one solids of revolution on the test which would have been a pain w/o calculus.

ohh, okay! Well i mean im takin it in college so it’s kind of different I gues… and what is L’Hospitals rules, cause Ive seen that before…

If you’ve taken Pre-Cal, Alg 2, Trig, etc. and still remember the topics, then it can be advantageous to know Calculus as Greed said, but you shouldn’t rely on the class to prepare you for the exam if you don’t remember all the concepts from previous math classes.
