Has anyone taken the ALEKS module for calculus? is it rigorous?

ALEKS is not part of Math 2A. You can use it to practice for the placement test (which WILL be administered through ALEKS). Honestly, ALEKS is just stupid. They tell you that you have to use their calculator and use their graphing tools and whatnot. Just use your own calculator if you have to and pass the placement. It’s not worth going through precalc again if you know basic trig (first quadrant of the unit circle, the pythagorean equations, ect). If you are truly rusty in trig (like I was) then do precalc. Easy A and good review of algebra and trig for 2A+2B. If you do precalc though, ALEKS will be part of the course and it’s really annoying.
