New to the board and struggling with a dilemma. I have plans to transfer to Univ of Maryland's business school in Spring 07, however I'm trying to ensure that I have all of the prerequisites prior to applying. Of those required, I still need:

Calculus I
Statistics
Accounting I

I also need a few others, but those aren't prerequisites to acceptance and can be taken at UMD (Acct II, Macro-economics).

Although I plan to take Accounting I over the summer, I'm stuck with having to take Calculus I and Statistics in the same semester (Fall 2006). Is this a bad idea? Has anyone ever taken both in the same semester? I will also be taking a few other undemanding courses (Intro African American Studies, Communication, Nutrition 101H and maybe the Macro-economics or Acct II course).

Math is def not my most favorite subject, but I manage to pull in A's and the occasional B. Just wondering if I'll feel too stressed trying to manage both. Any advice/insight/experience is GREATLY appreciated.

I've taken both CALC and STATS, but not at the same time. I will tell you that if you have even a fair grasp of math, stats is simple. Very simple (assuming you are taking a beginning stats course).

I think it is very possible to do both... but that is for me. I don't really know your situation, but be sure not to overdo it with other classes... CALC may be a little more demanding of your time.

I took Cal 2 together with physics (calculus based) mechanics together with chemistry at the same time in my second semester and I pull two A and 1 B. :D

i'm doing calc II and statistics. I have a 86.5 and a 94 in statistics. Oh and this is with ochem II, bio I, and history honors. its all possible haha
