Calculus opinions

Hey guys,

wondering what the differences are between MA 121 and MA 123? Is MA 123 more difficult - I’ve actually heard it’s easier?

I don’t know which one to take. I have taken one year of Calc in high school but not AB/BC. Any opinions on this?

People say 121 is easier, but it’s not a huge difference. If you have some background in calc then you should be fine in either 121 or 123. I did a year of calc in high school and 123 was a breeze, I never scored below 95 on tests.

Don’t focus so much on ease of class. Certain science majors require a different calc sequence. Be sure to check with advising!!! D learned the hard way and ended up having to retake Calc MA 124 after having completed MA121/MA122 freshman year. She sailed through MA121/MA122 ~ finding MA124 more challenging.

Thank you for your opinions.

My major accepts both MA 121 and MA 123 sequences.

Any additional input is definitely welcome!
