I haven't taken calculus in highschool, and I'm not the best at math. But, I'm a pre-med, who will most likely be majoring in biology or biochemistry.

I was told MATH 125 is the same thing, but with less stress, and way easier.
Is this true?
The only reason I need math or calculus is the pre-med requirements(calculus based physics for a year-that's all)

Many pre-med, social science, humanities, business, etc. students take the 125/126 track since this is a more applied calculus course. 121/122 is more of a calculation/formula based calculus better suited for those on the engineering track. I don’t know if I would call 125 “easier” per se since the probability section gets quite twisted.

its definitely easier. trust me.

what major are you planning on taking? If you aren’t engineering or any major with a BS track there is no need to take 121. 121 is much harder than 125.

If you enjoy math however, I would recommend the class. Professor Butler is one of the best professors I have ever had. He’s funny and makes the learning enjoyable and he is very fair. His tests are challenging but if you do what he tells you to do you should do fine. The 125 teacher is, to put it bluntly, a *****. I really didn’t like her at all. She can’t teach for the life of her and she always speaks to you in a sarcastic tone that just feels degrading.
