My gf got a 39 in an hour and a half

She's magical... or good at calculus... or just didn't forget it all. :)

38/40 here...about 1 1/2 hrs

would've probably got a 40....i took calc junior yr

5 BC Calc
780 SATI
780 SAT IIC

i still don't wanna take really advanced calc freshman yr though.. i don't remember everything....plus i'm gonna be taking lots of other hard classes...

Yeah, my days are really packed when I did the scheduling planning thing - especially mornings. I'd hoped I'd be able to schedule classes so I could get up late, but all the lectures are in the morning.

I did pretty well on the placement test - one stupid mistake on the algebra section and about half the diffeq section I'd never seen before. The other sections I got perfect.

If I do poorly, does that mean I have to take pre-calc? Because all I want to do is start out with Calc 1... nothing higher. And do econ majors need to take it?

After I did my scheduling, it seemed like I had really busy days compared to what people have told me college will be like. Strange.

I'm pretty sure if you got it in the packet, you need to take it. I'm not sure what kind of placement you get if you don't do well. I did pretty well and scheduled 21-122 Integration, DiffEqs and Approximation. They don't seem to offer anything below 21-120 Differential and Integral Calculus, which seems to be about equivalent to AP Calc.

KrazyKow: the course load will look lighter once we get done with CSW, and the freshman immigration course. And after all, nobody said CMU was going to be easy.

The never sent me the letter... my advisor called me on friday and asked why I never took it, and why I have not set up my course load.

were we supposed to get an email or anything with what calc class we placed into? ... also how were we supposed to schedule our classes? all i've recieved is a scheduling survey online... is that it?

Carrera: i never got any letters either and everything i've done so far is based on what i read from facebook and this site =(

Yeah, I'd like to know when we'll find out about calculus placement, because I have this feeling I won't be taking Calc in 3D and will need to redo my schedule.

16 out of 40... but I only took applied calc for my senior year, so I guess it it acceptable. But if I knew about the test earlier, I am pretty sure I would have gotten in the 20's.
