Hello,
Are there a lot of mids from California? Perhaps Los Angeles (my city of residence)? If so, would they say that California and the Los Angeles area is very competitive or average?

Thanks,
AH

Senatorial nominations are very competitive in CA because the state’s so populated; representatives’ districts seem to vary quite a lot in terms of competitiveness. But it’s not like you can move, right? Just give it your best.

I’m from Los Angeles and I’m at the Naval Academy Prep school right now. There are about 5 of us here from LA out of 300.

I live in the 25th district and my congressman had about 65 applications over all last year. Considering he is allowed 10 noms per each academy you have a pretty good shot at a nom. The tricky part is getting the LOA.
