Hi, I am thinking ahead for this winter. In the happy hope that my daughter might receive lots of callbacks, I was wondering what people know about them. She is applying to the following programs: Julliard, Carnegie-Mellon, SUNY Purchase, U of Minnesota, Mason-Gross, UNSCA, and BU. She has already been artistically accepted at CCM. I know that some colleges definitely have call back weekends (Julliard, U Minnesota and Mason Gross). But, I am unclear about the others. Does anyone know if BU, UNSCA, SUNY, or Carnegie Mellon have call back weekends? Any information you have to share would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

I know for Guthrie that all you pay is airfare. They will pick your student up from the airport and provide housing/meals for the weekend. Not sure about the others.

Congratulations on CCM!! Carnegie Mellon does not have call back weekends. BAL to your daughter!!

BU and Purchase don’t have callback weekends

I don’t know of any other schools that have call backs on different days besides the ones mentioned. Rutgers MG was the first weekend in March last year - a friday through Sunday.

Thank you very much. So, the only one left to wonder about is UNSCA.

I don’t think it has a callback weekend, but I can’t say for sure.

UNCSA has never had a call back weekend. I suppose its possible they put one in this year but I seriously doubt it.
