I spoke to a USC rep on the phone, and he said that in order to make a decision, they must have all pre-req grades from spring semester. So...that means, at least for me, this whole process could potentially be pushed into August (since my semester ends late June and transcripts won't be avaiable until at least the second week of July)!! Blasphemy! It's pretty ****ed up: by then, housing availability is going to be slim to none and USC knows that we have commitment deadlines to meet for other schools. *sigh

Ha, I got that same answer from the Admissions Office! They told me that they will either rendered an admission decision or request for more information. Well, can't wait that looong. I sent in my deposit ($500) to University of San Francisco. However, my first choice is still USC. If I get into USC, I will forego my $500 at USF.

USC, please hurry up!!! You are killin all of us~~~~ =(

Did you apply to Marshall School of Business?

Yep!!!

Stats: 3.85 ccc GPA after 2 semesters, 3.6 high school, ACT not so great, AGS member, work and volunteer, studied abroad, will have competed all pre-reqs by the end of spring (except the optional accounting).

What about you?!

College GPA: 3.80 (fall 2005 and spring 2006)
High School GPA: 3.71
SAT: 1200
ACT: 26
I completed all the pre-reqs already, including Financial and Mangerial Accounting.

Good luck to you! Yeh, I am kinda of worried at this point!

Yeah I know how you feel...hopefully we'll see each other next year. BEST OF LUCK!!! =)

Good luck to you too! =)

I just felt frustrated and annoyed at the overwhelming stuff that went on. USC has kept been asking info from me.... Hope you get in!

THANKS! I dont know how much longer I can keep sane. I did receive the request for grades today in the mail though. I suppose thats a bit of validation; at least I know USC didn't throw away my supplemental materials like last time!!!! phew =)

i call them everyday
i think they can even recognize my name...
dammit i can't wait
all my activites are onhold until usc's decision

haha tony. me too. i call them too much :-)

damn...
so today i had my last exam, semester over
since i'm an international student
i can't even go home!!!

hey btw kaity
which major did u apply to?
i apply to art and science department tho

I applied to Broadcast Journalism as my first choice and Creative Writing as my second choice. If i get in I'll probably try to transfer to film (i couldn't apply to it though because I'm a freshman and you have to transfer in junior year unless you are already at USC) but I'd be happy in the other majors too

I think USC is dropping the ball on this. I understand and sympathize with the large volume of applications they receive; however, waiting until June to hear from them is ridiculous.

I'm not even interested anymore. I applied to USC as kind of a long-shot. I registered for classes at my present school in March and while USC has been a dream of mine, practicality reigns in this situation. I just count my blessings that I've got a good school to fall back on and feel for those that are in the difficult situation of waiting on USC to make a decision.

I don't mean to sound bitter or upset at all, but I just wanted to comment on my disappointment with the transfer process at USC.

Good Luck to everybody.

usc just lost another excellent student......
sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

It certainly does suck: they have so many well-qualified candidates begging for admission that they have the luxury of making a rather untimely decision.
