My mom just baked a whole bunch of cookies and has some fruit cups to send to the plebers in India-18. To any parents with a young adult in I-18, please rest assured that the cadre are some of the finest in the brigade.

SpiderMD_ thanks to your mom- another company is covered!

Thanks to everyone! Lets hope the chaplains have enough to cover the few stragglers! God bless all of you bakers and packers out there! It is my understanding the packages will be delivered on 7/12! Thankyou all!

sealion will take e-10 ( I don't have a kid there but I sure do miss their voices on CC)

I'll take A-1...if they have too many which I can't believe, they would have to have more than 1,200 to have way too many. They can always wait a week and give the lads another box. Besides, mines taped and ready to mail.

I can add L-21. My daughter's friend is coming by this morning to pick up a package for DD before heading back to Annapolis for a summer session. I will ask her to drop this off, as well.

Looks like the list is filling up.

Am I the only one who is wondering how it is possible for someone to refuse to support their mid?

C/5 I'm still mailing one, I already bought the stuff. I know C/5 is already taken and the Chaplain said no more, but maybe they can give away two to those who get nothing. I found out about this on another list. Great job ladies and gentlemen!

WOW!! Thank you everyone!! Thank you 2010M&D!

It is true- apparently the Chaplains got an overwhelming response- so rest assured no mid will be left without a box of their own! I have no doubt that the CC bakers made the difference!!!

Fair is fair-
So WP, USMMA, USAFA and USCGA- let us know if you need the CC bakers to help you out with any campaigns there! This baker will gladly sign up!

JOB WELL DONE EVERYONE!!

KP is easy

5 Companies, but packages are shared by everyone in the company.

An address would help wouldn't it.

Maybe someone can post when a good time would be to send for the others. Boss? Can you get us the Coastie's Chaplin's address & a date that would be good? And AFA then WP for those of you who know? I'll try to get a call in to the USMMA Chaplin to tell him to expect some cookies & stuff. Will post back on that.

I would hold off on CGA as a lot of em will be going on Eagle soon and the parents seem to be doing a good job with the goodies. I think maybe early in the semester(late August) would be a good time. Stay tuned!

"I'll try to get a call in to the USMMA Chaplin to tell him to expect some cookies & stuff. Will post back on that."

Another blonde moment..... Don't know why I said that. No need to call the Chaplin because the boxes will go directly to the companies. Uh. Nevermind.

ha ha remember the old saying, "merlot and email don't mix!" :D I read that somewhere :D :D

*** on the word of some good advice

going forward: someone suggested that we not post the addresses of where to send this stuff- rather to request/respond to them by e-mail-

agreed?

roger .

"Am I the only one who is wondering how it is possible for someone to refuse to support their mid? "

I read this and agreed, then got to thinking. Some of those kids dont have a family network to stand behind them. Some of them have families, but those families are already stretched thin by the struggle to stay afloat (single parents, illness in the families, special needs). And some are estranged from their families. So for different reasons (and yes I am sure there are parents who for whatever reason simply refuse to support their mids) some of these mids have no one. Thats why its important for those who can support them to offer an extra dose to anyone who needs it. Good job folks!

hey- we still need someone to help with Band Company! We can't leave them out! Who wants to do a good deed???

LFWB dad- should we send these now? Do you have a target date in mind? Ovens are hot and ready!!!
