im currently enrolling into the Arts and Sciences program and Im a bit worried buying books.

Ill be taking:

CAS 101
BIO 121
CHE 106

Im not completely sure about my Math and the other CAS class, I might take Psychology instead because my admissions advisor informed me that I might not get into the CAS 100 this semester so I put in PSY 205 as a writing replacement. But I know for a fact I am getting the three classes above. Does anyone have any books they can sell me?

Also, BUY the books online!!!!!!!!!! If you can't find someone, buy it on Amazon! You can find out what books you need for the class by Googling "Syracuse University Bookstore Order Textbooks Online." The first site is the right one. Click on Textbooks Online! on the left top corner. Click Returning Students- I don't know if any books come up for freshmen, though, but I did this my second semester at SU. Well, anyway, click Fall 2008 and fill out Net Id/password. It will bring you to a page that tells you all the books you need. DO NOT...I repeat...DO NOT press Checkout. If you do, you're buying the books from the bookstore.

Well, anyway, you can find these books on Amazon or other websites now that you should have the name and author. DO THIS ONE-TWO WEEKs BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS! Have it mailed to your campus address and it should get there before or a little after you start classes. Also, if you do it now, it only gives the option of finding out the Summer session.

Just to put in perspective how outrageous the bookstore prices are, I found my BIO book for $125ish at the bookstore and I bought it for $17 on Amazon! I cut down my book prices from $600 first semester to $300 second semester by finding stuff online.

I can say the same.
My bio 121 book costed me over a 100 dollars at the SU bookstore when online, I found the exact same book, including the CD in perfect condition for about 20 dollars.
I know that I will never buy textbooks from the book store ever again.

And I doubt you'll have any luck withstudents selling BIO 121 books. You won't be having Dr. Druger because he's semi-retired so you'll be assigned a new/different book and no one will know what the book will be unless if you can somehow get in touch with the new professor.
