I'm interested in any information, past experiences, or just gut feelings or opinions anyone might be willing to share regarding transferring into Vanderbilt.

I was accepted into Vandy and a couple of Ivy League schools first time around (though I ended up at a lesser northern university at which I'm happy - long story). Vanderbilt was originally my "dream" choice, but I turned them down because I had better offers of financial aid elsewhere.

I've rethought my decision, and am applying as a transfer student for my sophomore year. I have nearly all A's, am in an honors program, am a member of six different clubs and volunteer organizations, and intern at a local museum.

I'm hoping I stand a fairly decent chance the second time around, but I have VERY strong financial need. I'm really looking for insight on whether this could affect my chances as a transfer, and the type of experiences anyone's had with the office of financial aid either as transfers or as upperclassmen.

Whew, sorry so long! Thanks!
