Calling everyone who has kids who attened ASU or have attended ASU!!Help!

Hello my name is Sean, I currently Live in Seattle Washington. I am a senior in Highscool and have been looking at colleges everywhere my dad and I visited arizona state university and we both liked it. I applied online but noted there was no where to write a personal essay or anything. Does ASU not require a personal statement or essay like most colleges do? Am I garunteed admission with a 3.0 or 1050 as posted on the website? My gpa is a 2.5, but this year I am doing good and am taking 3 college classes at a community college and 2 at my highschool. I have not recived my SAT scores yet be feel confident I did well. Also I am an Iranian born american. With that said what are my chances of getting in? I have completed over 75 hours of community service and an outstanding work resume. Thanks!

Just to clarify – Which ASU are you asking about?

Many state Us do not have the huge admissions offices to read a bunch of essays. No essay is required for regular admissions for ASU. Fill out the app online, then wait to hear.

A friend’s son went there from the Seattle area. He got caught up in the party culture and ended up in A LOT of trouble, so be careful down there.

Sorry – I missed the reference to Arizona. Guess I was looking for capital letters!

According to [Arizona State University Admissions Information - CollegeData College Profile](http://www.collegedata.com/cs/data/college/college_pg02_tmpl.jhtml?schoolId=1096) , GPA, class rank and standardized tests are very important, rigor of high school record is important, state residency is considered, and everything else is not considered for freshman admission at Arizona State.

hmmm thanks I am not much of a party animal anyways ;p
