Does anyone know someone who was accepted to CALS without the subject tests? They are "recommended" but not required. The woman at the fall open house said applicants are not penalized for not submitting them, but if they're recommended...............Some schools (like Duke) don't require them if you take the ACT with writing, but want them if you submit the SAT. I got a 34 on the ACT but a 2060 on the SATs (I don't want to take it again if I don't have to). I think most of the other schools at Cornell do want the subject tests. I'm just wondering if i am harming myself by not taking/submitting them. I plan to submit the ACT, but not the SAT, to Cornell.

Admitted to Environmental Engineering through CALS and only submitted the ACT–no SAT subject tests or regular SAT. GPA-3.9 (UW) and a very focused essay.

Thanks, Endventure.
