Hi CC users,
I'm really interested in studying both agronomy and business. This is something that I have built a real passion for and Cornell seems to be one of the few universities where that is possible. My questions are:

What do you think is the best path into this double-major? Applying for Ag Sciences and then getting into AEM while there, or vice-versa? Is it possible to enter with both majors declared?

Many Thanks! :)

hmm, I don’t think you can enter with both majors declared.
I think you are best off with your first choice: applying for Ag Sciences and adding AEM. you would need to apply to be accepted into AEM later, but especially if you have a passion for it you’d have a good chance. (also, as a back-up, you can take an AEM minor without even applying, so as long as you’re in CALS you can definitely have access to an AEM curriculum.)

^agreed. it would be “easier” to apply as Ag Sci and then apply to be a double major in AEM. a lot of people back door their way into AEM by using another CALS major but in your case you seem genuinely interested in Ag Sci.
