CalSO 6/9/2011 Roll Call

IMMMM A HISTORY MAJOR! and i’ll be coming june 9th. my dad wants to be involved lol so i guess hes going to shell out the $195 for himself…

I just submitted my SIR this morning, do I have to wait 24-hours to sign-up for CalSO or something?..it’s not letting me through… =/ i wanna sign up for 6/9 too so i can register for classes alreadddy

santacruzstefan - ill be there too!

Do you guys know how many spaces are left for the June 9th date? I still haven’t SIR’d yet, but I’d like to attend the first orientation.

@cherryvaseline: This is want I found in the “Note” section of the first page of the SIR process: “You will not be able to complete other items on your checklist (apply for housing, sign up for orientation, create your Berkeley email address, etc.) until about 2 days after your payment is recorded.”

^ thanks deanza

see you guys on 6/9

@ redo

Yes! History majors unite!
Alright well I think I’ll be venturing up there from Socal on my own for 6/9. Can we stay in unit 3 2 nights or do we have to leave on the day of Calso?

Submitted SIR, finally! Can’t wait to register for 6/9 CalSO!

I don’t know about you guys, but from what I see, the course listings for fall are confusing. Most classes are full/ waitlisted, but some have open seats with a waitlist (maybe they hold a few open for incoming transfers?)

@brian - i THINK you guys have to leave the night of calSO  but im not too sure because i live just about an hour away so ill just be driving up at about 6am.

@santacruz - most of the classes i want are just about 50% filled…so still very open lol. what was your major again?

@redoplease: If classes are less than half full now there is a good chance we’ll get them in June, right? Or is there another big continuing student registration wave coming up soon?

it looks like phase 1 for all continuing students is over. i believe phase 2 starts mid-july. so after our orientations.

i think that means we have a good shot at getting some of the classes we want (esp if they’re pretty open right now)

luh da bearz

Where do we find the courses and whether they’re full or not?

schedule?..

^^
Found it! Thanks!

And btw, are we supposed to be taking all upper div. courses now? I’d assume so yes? But a couple of my friends said they still took lower div.

well if you still had some major prerequisites, then you would have to take lower division courses.

um yeah I’ll be there too, soo yeah…

I just registered!! Are you guys going alone? Cuz I’m not sure if I should bring a guest or not…

I registered without a guest. I figure I will be a good way to branch out

If I’m not mistaken, it says at least 36 units must be upper division, for L&S anyway, so I’m guessing some lower division stuff is still available, and alright to take as a junior. I think I’m just gonna take what I can, and then make sure to sign up early for Spring.

Hey, I know this is super lame but I made a little face book page for transfers that are going to Berkeley in the fall (class of 2013/our class). Check it out and join if you want… I just started it a couple days ago so there are only a few members. Come join!
