<p>I am a disabled vet and my daughter just got accepted to UCLA so we will be applying for the CalVet Tuition Waiver. I have the forms and have done most of the homework but I am not sure what all is include when they look at the students income. It just says Students Income and any support provide by a parent.</p>
<p>Do outside scholarships count toward this income?
How about gifts from Aunts/Uncles/Grandparents etc...?
What about savings accounts the student may already have for school? I don't see a mention of that.
Student Loans?</p>
<p>This could be a huge benefit to us so I don't want to jeopardize a $14k waiver by accepting a few small scholarships or graduation gifts, etc...</p>
<p>Any other tips by someone who has used the benefit before would be most welcome.</p>
