I got a heads up from one of the biology teachers at orientation that bio 120 will be using campbell 7th and chem 105 will be using zumdahl 7th....I'm looking online and the softcover international edition for the campbell 7th is significantly cheaper than the hardcover u.s. version, and it says its identical to the u.s. version...can anybody vouch for this?

Usually int'l softcovers are exactly the same. While I haven't bought those exact books I have bought 5 int'l books in the past year and have no problem whatsoever. The only problem is if the bookstore is bundling a book w/ a study guide, then you may have to purchase the study guide separately (which may mean more money)

I've never had to use the study guide CD rom but that's just me.

i got brand new campbell 7th edition with the CD - hardcover- for $30

***. I paid like $150 last year for mine.
