This Campbell AP Biology is soo confusing..is there a website with chapter summaries or anything out there that'll help me undjerstand this..i have a test on chapter 13 / 14 / 15 on friday..and this teacher makes the tests super hard

Just do a quick Google search. You'll find a ton of sites.

noo i have not found any someone please help me .. my instand message on aim is Pock3tAce

let me know if u find any websitess

...do you realize that there are chapter summaries at the end of each chapter? (as well as some very good questions and answers) But there really is no alternative to reading the text if your teacher asks very nit-picky questions.

EDIT: Oh, by the way, I think that using the Cliff's AP bio book as a supplement really helps to understand the material. From there, I'd go on to memorizing the details.

You're not kidding. Our Campbell tests are 100 questions from the book's test bank and it's nearly impossible. I'm lucky to make in the 80s.

He seems way too verbose in his explanations.

"The organism's most basic and instrinsic entity undergoes a complex process that result in two identical daughter cells."

=

"The cell divided."

It's a good book. Read the chapter, take notes as you read (if you learn better that way), read the summary, do the questions at the end, and supplement the material with the Cliff's review book.

My teacher did the same, making the questions harder than the AP. In the end all turned out well: a good portion of the class received 5s.

I love the Campbell book hehe. I can't wait for USABO.

wha'ts usabo

theoneo .. thank u very very very much

USABO: USA Biology Olympiad. See www.cee.org/usabo.

My teacher also uses test bank questions, i usually get a 91 or so. ON one test I got 40/42 correct, studying 3 days in a row, 2 overnighters in a row. Unforunately my last test ended up with 28/41...... satii's on saturday u know :(

You are only on chapter 13? We are all the way to 33... we are flying, test every monday (self study), two AP essays due too, labs during the week, write ups due wed. Pretty intense class.

Sometimes I resort to just reading the studybook, its hard to learn so much in such a short amount of time

what's the study book ?> and this class ..is informative but difficult ; I GOT A 92 % first semester..one of only 6 A's in the ENTIRE class out of 35 + people

Im busting out a 98... but im a loser and read the chapters like 4 times...

The study book is a companion book inwhcih each chapter is summarized, each section even. A 20 page chapter is condensed into about 4 pages of raw fact... extremly useful, and it has extra quiz problens.

use the campbell AP bio website if you have a pass. The online quizzes are helpful.

AP Biology Chapter Objectives & outlines
Biology, 5th Edition Campbell

Wolffy 25, where did you get your companion book?

Thou shalt not take Campbell's name in vain. He is the master of biology, study his bible and you will go far. Also, I too have the companion book but I won it at the USABO so I'm not sure where to actually buy it. To be honest the cliff's book is probably better for somebody who is struggling because it rephrases the facts instead of just condensing them.

Chapter 33??? Wow. My class is on Chapter 12. Its awful.

we were on block system so my campbell days are long over...got a 99% in ap bio..tho ! =)
