We just visited Dartmouth this week and thought the campus was beautiful. My daughter is interested in the Computer Science major and digital arts minor. If you have any info. on this, I would love to hear it. I was wondering what would become of a student who is not particularly outdoorsy. Are there other things to do at Dartmouth beyond skiing, hiking, etc? What's there to do on or around campus?

Dartmouth has a lot of what I would say is “casual fun.” I.e. lots of barbeques, snowball fights, ice skating, special movie nights, swimming in the river, etc. There is so much social space so it ends up being a very “chill” good time. In terms of social life there is also a ton happening every night in terms of parties - houses have them, frats, dorm parties, etc. Its an incredibly active place. Finally Dartmouth just seems to have lots of “special” things that make it fun - from big weekends (i.e. homecoming with its huge bonfire) to formals to sophomore summer (i.e. camp Dartmouth). I didn’t have a tv for much of my time there because I found so much to do.
