Hello,
I am going to try and help you out with some of your questions. I was a transfer student and commuter, so I may not have the best insight into all your questions, but will do my best!

Do many students stay around campus on weekends? I was a commuter, but I know there are a lot of fun places to go off campus and students would stay for basketball games, house parties and the bars. I have a feeling a majority of students went home on the weekends, though (especially when living on campus).

What is the nature of Greek life (partying or service)? Not sure on this one. I know there are frats for students of different ethnicities, unsure of the nature though.

Do students take advantage of the proximity to NYC? Yes. Many of my friends had NYC internships and went frequently to NYC. The school also sponsored trips to NYC.

How accesible are the professors? Very. All my professors in Stillman (and the general pre-req classes_ were always available.

How good is administration to deal with for things like scheduling and financial aid? I don’t know of any administration that is great with financial aid, etc. as far as customer service goes. There is a lot of red tape with all schools, I feel, and I don’t think Seton Hall was any different.

Can students do double majors or major/minors across schools (Stillman/arts&sciences or arts&sciences/Whitehead): I think it is possible to do both, but it is far more common to double major (and graduate on time) within the same school.

What is the caliber of the academic advising? Unsure. I was committed to marketing when I transferred there. Stillman has grad students that advise students on courses to take (which are pretty straight forward).

What kind of jobs are recent graduates getting? All my friends work for marketing/pr agencies. There are plenty of opportunities, especially leveraging NYC internships, school opportunities during your undergrad to boost your resume. As with any school, college is what you make of it. The resources are there, it is up to the student to take advantage of them.

Hope this helps!
