Campus Tour at JMU

This weekend I'll be going for a tour at JMU. Anything I should look for or questions I should ask?

Check out the Bluestone dorms, the nicest I think. Stop by the UREC, if you are into fitness. Make sure to eat in either DHall or Ehall, the main dining halls. Have fun, we love JMU, my son is a senior there now. Gonna miss it!

Yes, absolutely eat in one of the 2 main dining halls. And even if the tour doesn’t take you to the other (newer) side of campus, be sure to check that area out too. It’s on the opposite side of I-81 from where the admissions office is. Be ready for lots of walking.

Went on the tour and I love JMU! Definitley number 1 choice!

CollegeGirl, if you end up at JMU, can I suggest checking out the freshman learning communities. There are several, divided by major. You take several classes freshman year, with the members of your learning community, and live in the same dorms. The year my son did it, it was Gifford, which is Bluestone and has AC. He didn’t want to apply to it at first, but now would say it was a great way to start, and made a lot of good friends through it. It requires a separate application, after you are admitted to JMU.

I’m a freshman at JMU this year and I love it  If you need any info let me know!
