My hs jr s and I will be visiting the campus during his spring break, which is also the Stevens spring break. Any tips on how to optimize our visit given the limitation of an absent student body? We are making a NE circuit. Fortunately, not all spring breaks correspond, and we have to make the trip when we can.

Call admissions. I think they are still doing tours that week.

[Stevens Institute of Technology: Undergraduate Admissions: Visit Us](http://www.stevens.edu/sit/admissions/visit/index.cfm)

They don’t mention a lack of tours during spring break.

We plan to tour, but with an empty campus, the experience won’t be so great. Just hoping that those familiar with the school could tell us where to look, what not to miss, what to ask so we make it the best visit possible under the circumstances.

When we toured back in 2006, we had a very personalized tour - the guide and our family. We were able to actually see some of the senior projects which was cool. I think that was what excited older S the most.

The campus will be far from empty. There are a lot of international students and co-op students that will be on campus.
My suggestion, if there is no formal tour - go into as many buildings as you can. Go into the library (see the Calder mobile) and the Carnegie Lab (see the wave pool). Walk the outskirts of the campus from 5th Street to Hudson Street. Go one block over from the campus to Washington Street - the heart of Hoboken.
