Can a "D" in an extra "A-G" Course for UC's still get me rescinded?

I am a senior in California who recently got admitted to multiple UC's, and am probably going to UC Irvine. Senioritis has caused my grades to slip, and it is possible that I'll get a D in a class this semester. The biggest problem is, I am majoring in computer science and the D I might receive is in AP Computer Science. However, looking at the A-G requirements, I have already fulfilled all the required years of classes. Since a condition of admission is to not get a D in only A-G courses, will my possible D in APCS still affect my UC admissions?

You better find it out from the school. Also, you may want to think it through again if you really want to major in CS.

Maybe…or at least a very strong warning because a D is still pretty serious(especially in a class related to your major), A-G or not. But yea, ask the school.

Talk to your GC, he will know better. UCs don’t like to see Ds.

Better to find out from the school before May 1 than later.

Get that D up to a C.

I would be more worried about the fact the D is in CS. Not doing homework or a true D?

It doesn’t matter which class the D is in. UCs do not look kindly on Ds and do reserve the right to rescind your admission if they see a “significant drop in grades”.
Remember the mantra “C is for college D is for diploma” eg you can graduate from high school with Ds, but you need Cs to make it into college.
