Can a high AP Calculus AB score "cancel" a low SAT Math II score?

Hi there! I am a rising senior, and throughout high school math has been my weak point. Math classes are the only ones I have received B-range grades in.

Naturally, I did not do so well on the SAT Math II, getting a 680 my second time.

However, I got a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. Could this high score make up for my low one on the Math II? If not, should I even bother sending my Math II score to colleges that don't require SAT Subject Tests?

Thanks!

It can help, but it won’t completely make up for it. That’s because SATs allow colleges to compare students from all different backgrounds on the same playing field. Some schools don’t offer AP, so how would a college compare your SAT Math II and AP Calc score to someone else who has a higher SAT Math II but no AP Calc score?
