<p>Yes they can read you private messages. From the TOS:</p>
<p>"You acknowledge that CollegeConfidential.com reserves the right to monitor any and all information transmitted or received through CollegeConfidential.com which may be examined, recorded, copied, and used in accordance with our Privacy Statement."</p>
