Can anybody describe what an acceptance to the Paris Scholars' Program means?

I’m a little confused - I was accepted to PSP (yay!) so I don’t view my admission decision to GWU as a complete rejection, seeing as I’m guaranteed admission there sophomore year following a year in Paris, but I’m unsure as to why they chose to admit me to this particular program as opposed to the main university right off the bat? It kind of feels like a “conditional acceptance” in a way - anybody else agree?

I also don’t speak a word of French, so it’s random linguistically, too!

I think they chose people for the program who have a liberal arts focus and are interested in other cultures. They only offered this program to ~40-50 students, my app was all about French so I was obvious to include, but idk why they chose you. If you want more info, I’d search “Paris Scholars Program GW” and watch the Vimeo link.
