Can anybody tell me how is Newhouse or double major?

I apply accounting+film double major.Though i'm not sure if I can make it, still wanna ask student inside what is it like??
If I can double major, can I graduate 1 year early(if i have 5 AP and take summer school?)

Is newhouse REALLY cool for communication??

Accounting and film major (Whitman and Newhouse) is actually a five year program (if you took 5 courses per semester) Your 5 AP’s will help toward making that just four - and summer school will certainly reduce that.

omg five years.now ap’s super necessary for me.Gonna take 4 subjects in May.

hey i just got in to double major in whitman and newhouse and they said if i worked my butt off i could do it in 4…

really?I hope so. Do you apply ED?what’s ur status?

IMHO, if I went to school for five years, I would want to come out with a Master’s degree to get my bang for the buck, especially at an expensive school. What’s wrong with business major, comm minor? You are going to get your most experience working anyway. Taking a few classes doesn’t make you an expert in your field, on the job training does. Or work, then go for your master’s. A five year program doesn’t make sense unless its required for licensing. For example, a CPA.

Let me clarify my original post about the Newhouse-Whitman dual major being a five year program. In addition to the 4 year Whitman program (because this program is based in Whitman), you need to add 8 -12 courses from Newhouse depending on your major. Most of the duals complete it in 4 years because either they come with many AP credits, take 6 courses instead of 5 for a few semesters, or take summer courses (which can be at local colleges at home as long as they are pre-approved and you get a C). I was just making the point that it is more than the standard 4 years but very doable in 4 years. My D feels that she is getting a fantastic education.
