<p>So I know there are a few people here who are PreMeds so I'd like to ask you about these three classes:</p>

Bio41</p>
<p>I'm going to be taking them fall quarter next year. Do you think I should add another class or just stick with these three? I asked one of my friends and she said that all three are challenging and would take up a lot of my time. I'm also going to be starting my research (hopefully) and I'll also be really busy with other stuff the first few weeks of school. So what do you think?</p>
<p>I would say that if you're going to add something, make it an activity unit or a very low work class. Bio 41 is pretty time-consuming in the amount of time needed to memorize all the material, as is Chem 35 (yet again a whole different ballpark than chem 33). Chem 36 is actually pretty simple in terms of the work you have to do, it just takes up a 4 hour chunk of your time once a week, and the lab reports can take time until you get used to the format.</p>

That's pretty much what I got from everyone I asked. I might just throw in an extra 'light' class if I find one I like (sorry marlgirl i just dont like dancing :) ) or I might not. Thanks for the info!</p>
<p>Any idea of how much work "Fiction writing" English 90 demands? Is it managemable and do well to take Chem35, Chem36, Bio41 and also 5 units of "Fiction Writing" in autumn quarter? Any advice on a Bio major with Creative Writing minor?</p>
<p><em>shrug</em> Depends on how fast you are at writing. The class itself doesn't really require that much...thought/analysis, you basically make up stories and write them up for your prof to read. Might be a fun diversion from all the science, but do watch out for when papers (often 5-10 pages in the quarter) and midterms coincide.</p>
<p>sigh I would have liked to take something like that due to my love of fantasy tales but I'm a slow writer and I doubt I could personally handle it.</p>
<p>jwj, Did you take the "Fiction Writing" course? What other classes did you have when you took the "Fiction", how many papers in one quarter for "Fiction"?</p>
<p>Nope, this is just from my English major friends, and former roommate. He had a 10 pg paper every 2-3 weeks, with some smaller writing pieces scattered in between. He's unfortunately out of contact at the moment, but I can try to ask when he gets internet again.</p>
<p>I too will be taking Chem 35, 36 and bio 41 this fall. I was also thinking of taking stats 60 since I heard it was easy, but now I'm a little worried. I auditied 35 last spring, but I still think it's going to be pretty difficult. Is adding stats too much?</p>
<p>On another note, I'm not premed and the track I'm in for bio says I can take two disciplinary breadth classes pass/fail. Chem 35 and 36 are the only classes I still need in that area, so I was thinking about taking them pass/fail, but I wonder if that looks horrible to grad schools? Which would be worse, "pass" or a C?</p>
<p>Yes, I would recommend trying to save Stats 60 for the winter. Can it fit into your schedule in winter? Or, you could just shop it and see if you think you can handle everything in fall. Alternatively, you could consider an activity or other random class.</p>
<p>I'm really curious who all these CC users are in real life! It would be so odd if one of you is in my dorm next year and if I go through the whole year without knowing...</p>
