I retook my ACT in september. they're supposed to be out on 9/27....

so...i'd like some helpful suggestions here, no: you suck, go to community college, cuz i dont think it is that badd....

some extra things: Academic Decathlon for two years, I have at least a dozen medals and trophies, secretary of African American Student Association, about 100 hours of volunteer work.

Rank: I'm in the top 25%. 78/340 students. this is because we rank by weighted GPa... thanks IB

i have six letters of recommendation, and im a illinois resident. a teacher suggested University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to me - it has a 65% accept rate and plus im an in state resident...is it right for me?

UIUC would be a reach. Your ACT is below the 25%ile for enrolled students and 57% of of them are in the top 10% of their class. If your school has an IB program you should have some GCs who can help you with selecting an appropriate school. What are some other directional Us in Illinois?

bumppp…

I agree wih Erins Dad. Your class rank is pretty low too

Well, depending on what your interests are, there’s also Illinois Institute of Tech., DePaul, UIC, and Illinois State.

UIC does tend to be more friendly to students like you. Your ACT is in their ideal range. You’ll have to write an excellent personal statement, though. The average class rank for UIC is 75th percentile.
