Hi, everyone, I am an international freshman in UIUC's busniss college. I want to transfer to NYU at some point for major in finance. Firstly, there are four different possible tranfer time for me, which is my freshmen's spring year, my sophermore's fall year, my sophermore's spring year and my junior's fall year. Which year is proper a student to transfer uncer the concern of courses credits, and major courses study? If I have been accepted by NYU for 2010's fall, but I gave up, is it a bigger chance for me to be accepted? And which part of my information is the most essential one? SAT, GPA, recommendations, or personal essay?

I’m assuming your applying to Stern since you want to major in finance. This means you only have two options ofcwhen to transfer because Stern does not accept Spring transfers. I would suggest a Sophomore transfer because there is a large business core that must be taken at Stern aside from three classes and as a Junior transfer it may be hard to complete especially with transfer crdit evaluation. I would say that GPA is the most important and it’s SAT scores and recs. If you can prove through your GPA that you can handle college courses then your SAT score becomes less important. Good luck

Is stern the business appartment of nyu?

ROFL you don’t even know the school you’re trying to transfer into?

no Stern is the arts school. Tisch is the business department of NYU.

LOL

Thanks, till now, I know
