Can AP/SAT scores help not so great GPA?

My gpa is 3.63/4.27 and 3.67/4.45 10-12, which is ok but not the greatest. Can the fact that I've gotten 5s on 5 AP tests and have a 2200+ on my SAT help me get into top tier colleges? How much? Do colleges even take AP scores into consideration???

AHHH college apps are blowing my mind!!! :(

The simple answer is good AP/SAT scores help not-as-good GPA but a not-as-good GPA will hurt good AP/SAT scores. The components of your application are all factored into the evaluation process at the most selective schools. Where are you cutting off the ranking for “top-tier”-- top 20, top 30, top 40, etc.? This will affect your chances in the admissions process.

I’m hoping to get into a top 30 nat university/one of the better ucs. but i’m worried that my gpa is holding me back
