Can finally end the debate whether or not Stony Brook or Binghamton is better.

2014 US News College Rankings

Stony Brook: #82
Binghamton: #97

LOL Stonybrook Alum by any chance. % places on that list is well within the margin of error even if it were an objective measure as opposed to the totally subjective nature of “which school is better”.

What has Binghamton contributed to modern medical technology lately?

Now I’m sensing some animosity. I don’t want to kick a bee’s nest. I think Stonybrook is a great school. Not just for Medecine. Marine Bio program is one of the best. Other majors are strong also.

Research output is not necessarily correlated to the quality of the UG experience. I can think of a number of schools that rake in grant funding whose UG experience pales in comparison to many other schools whose research expenditures and/or impact are minimal.

Sorry, but if you think any one USNWR ranking will answer that question you are sadly mistaken. I would only say that they are both fine universities within the SUNY system and each individual should decide which school is the best fit for him/her.

So was the years that Stony Brook was below Binghamton proof that Binghamton was better?
