<p>First and foremost, I really am the type of person that needs a "single;" however, these last months have been pretty hard on my family financially and to be concise, I personally have to pay for my tuition now.</p>
<p>Anyways, I got a letter in the mail granting my wish of a single and after looking at the rates of doubles/triples, I will be saving several thousand if I switch. </p>
<p>I'm fine if it's too late to that this quarter, but can I request a switch to a double/triple in the WINTER quarter?</p>

<p>talk to your RA early in fall quarter, like, as soon as the opportunity to switch rooms opens up. im not sure if you will still be charged for the single room rate, check the housing website. but due to the amount of triples and doubles there are this year, there are going to be a lot of requests for singles/doubles. again, if the rate will not change until the next quarter, just wait then request a change.</p>
