I have been interested in USAFA. I met an ALO last fall and really liked him. However, when I began my application process to the Summer Seminar he was replaced by my current ALO. My current ALO talks alot, but gets very little done. I like him, but I liked the first guy more (he is an alumni). Is it too early to switch or is it even possible?

i'm not 100% sure, but i think the ALOs are done by location. they're over a certain area. so, i dunno if you'd be able to change it or not.. you could always call your old ALO and ask him!

My ALO, was worried that a new ALO that was moving into the area was going to replace my current ALO as my new one (sorry, that was confusing:)). But he said that there is a request you can put in to switch ALOs I believe. I'm not sure exactly what it is though.

I managed to change ALO's. The first year I went through the application process I had an ALO that I really liked. Since I didn't get an appointment, I reapplied this year and was assigned a different ALO because I'm not in high school anymore. But I told him that I had a different ALO the year before, so he got me set up with the old one. Bottom line is that it's possible to change ALO's, but the new one has to be close enough.

I had the same situation as MikiloIX. Just call your admissions counselor in Colorado and ask for the switch, at least that is what I did.

i loved my ALO...he was the man
