To apply to UTD, you have to list the major you want to pursue. I'm borderline between chemistry and biology. I took AP biology this year and wont know which one to choose until i finish my AP chemistry class senior year, to get a feel of which i like more.

So if I fill out that I want to major in Biology can I switch later to Chemistry and vise versa??

Also, What if i dont want to go all four years and major in something. Like i complete 2 years of requirements for pre pharmacy and apply for pharmacy school. Would i even have a major then?

I know I'm pretty new at this college stuff :P

you can change majors. all you do is fill out some form with your advisor.

you prob still need to indicate your major when applying to pham school.

You don’t have to declare a major until you become a junior or have 60 hours. Until then you can switch around as many times as you want (though I wouldn’t really advise that).

BTW if you’re having trouble deciding, why not BioChem?

Yeah, you can switch around just by talking to your advisor and signing some sheets. Just sign up as Undeclared and take a mix of classes to see what you’d really like. To be honest, if you know what teachers and classes to take, you can have a really thorough education.

if you are admitted; then you can change your major through the Office of the Registrar and your academic advisor. If you are still at the application stage without a decision; then it can be changed using the Change of Application request form.
