Is it hard to switch majors once you've already been accepted?

I've already been accepted to UT Austin for Biology to fulfill pre-pharmacy requirements. However, my dad recently talked to me and he wants me to switch to Business. I'm slightly interested in Business, but I don't think I have a chance to get into it if I was allowed to switch. My class rank is 37/700 and my ACT is only 27 (average for business is like 29).

If I took the required classes for Business my first year at UT, would I be able to transfer into McCombs? Or is there anyway possible I can switch to Business before freshman year starts?

I know yiu can appeal the decision to switch majors before freshman year so long as you send in all the required documents before may 1. I remember seeing all the info on the be a longhorn site just search for appeals in the search box. You better hurry because it says appeals are made depending on how many more can fit so there are limited spaces.

Okay thanks!

If I did submit an appeal to switch to Business and was rejected, would my major still be Biology?
